Miley Cyrus and Kristen Stewart are among seven young women who are taking over Hollywood with a vengeance!

The two starlets joined four other celebs as the top seven kick-butt heroines in Hollywood. Who are the other four? (And before you say that the numbers are wrong, it’s because Kristen Stewart is named twice for two roles!)

Miley Cyrus was named for her role as FBI agent Molly Morris in So Undercover, Kristen Stewart was named for her role as Bella in Twilight and as Snow White in the remake she is filming now. The other four include Anne Hathaway as Catwoman, Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss Everdeen, Rooney Mara as Lisbeth Salander in The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, and Scarlett Johansson as Natasha Romanoff!

All of these young women portray a sexy and fierce heroine, which is giving older heroines like Angelina Jolie and Halle Berry a run for their money!

While each of them brings their own talent and abilities to the table, Kristen Stewart stands out for her amazing role as Bella Swan in the Twilight series. She put so much emotion and heart into playing Bella that fans couldn’t help but be captivated!

Teen starlet Miley Cyrus has tweeted her opposition to a controversial Phillip Island housing development – to almost 2.5 million followers.

Cyrus, who has an Australian boyfriend, tweeted a link to a Facebook site opposing the decision by Planning Minister Matthew Guy to rezone seaside farmland for housing.

“Phillip Island is such a magical place, it would be a shame to see it change,” Cyrus tweeted yesterday.

The Age reported last week that Mr Guy had overruled the Bass Coast Shire Council to allow development of the 23-hectare farming property known as the Cadogan land in the township of Ventnor.

Cyrus’ boyfriend and fellow actor Liam Hemsworth spent part of his childhood at Phillip Island.

A final decision on the development will be made tomorrow, with a group opposed to the rezoning planning to meet opposition planning spokesman Brian Tee.

The reasons given by Mr Guy for the intervention were that the owner of the land had requested the rezoning, residential rezoning would be good for housing affordability, and the new housing precinct could make use of the existing infrastructure and services at the township.

But the council criticised the decision last week.

“There’s no infrastructure,” councillor Peter Paul said.

“The only people who could support it are the developer and the real estate agent who sells the land. This is not just a Phillip Island issue; this is an issue for the entire Victorian coast.”

The council has met with Mr Guy in an unsuccessful attempt to prevent the development.

In a letter to the minister, Bass Coast chief executive Allan Bawden said the council had decided to retain the land for farming following a 10-year strategic planning process. One hundred submissions had called for the Ventnor town boundaries to be retained. Only one submission (from the owner) supported rezoning of the property.

The Age understands a mystery buyer is waiting for the rezoning to be finalised. Council sources said they were confident that the identity of that purchaser would explain much about the minister’s seemingly ad hoc intervention.

In April, he stripped planning control for coastal land between Portland and Narrawong from Glenelg Shire Council; in May he approved a contentious 200-house ecovillage at Cape Paterson. In June he announced plans to rezone 240 hectares of farmland west of Torquay for housing before backflipping after local opposition. He took on the portfolio when the coalition took office in November.

No, she;s not quitting Twitter again! Miley has just decided to take a break from her Twitter fans to enjoy her time at home. Miley and her boyfriend, Liam Hemsworth arrived in her hometown of Nashville on Tuesday. Her mom and dad, Tish and Billy Ray Cyrus accompanied Miley and her man.

On Wednesday, September 28th, Miley Tweeted:

“Taking a break from twitter this week to enjoy being home. Love ya guys.”

Althought she retweeted her support asking people to help TWLOHA win one million dollars by voting for them after her Tweet about taking a week off. Miley is one that is always there to show support for things she believes in, so it’s not at all surprising. TWLOHA is a non-profit group that is dedicated to helping people struggling with depression, self- injury, addiction and suicide.

With her busy schedule, she doesn’t get to spend time at her Nashville home with her family very often. So I’m sure this is a nice break for Miley and her entire family.

No one knows for sure how long Miley considers a week. So she could be back on Twitter on Sunday, or it could be as late as next Wednesday which would be a full week from the time she Tweeted her absence. Either way, I’m sure fans will be watching and waiting forMiley to return to Twitter.

Ok, so maybe she is not completely quitting Twitter. She has tried to do that in the past, only to be drawn back in. It is quite odd that she chose Wednesday to announce that she was quitting her Twitter addiction, if only for the week.

Does this mean until Sunday night? Perhaps it means fans won’t see her post until next Wednesday, giving her a full seven days of a social media blackout of sorts. Will her fans even miss her as she takes a break from them?

Unfortunately, though for a good cause, Miley Cyrus’ self-imposed Twitter holiday was a whopping 41 minutes when she posted this re-tweet:

Obviously either Miley Cyrus is a complete addict (perhaps someone at TWLOHA could help her with the addiction) when it comes to her smartphone and Twitter, or she just has no concept of what a “week” is. Perhaps she could use a little help that 41 minutes does not an hour, yet alone a week make!

Miley Cyrus, a self-proclaimed Christian, already has tattoos that indicate her feelings and opinions, including “karma” inked on her right index finger and an equality sign on her ring finger, indicating her support of gay marriage.

She has been quoted in the past saying, “I could never get a meaningless tattoo.”

The “Om” is a sacred symbol in Hinduism, and followers believe as creation began, the divine, all-encompassing consciousness took its form, and it represents divine energy.

Despite being Christian, Cyrus implied on Twitter that she believes in the Hindu concept of reincarnation, posting on her account, “Dear Universe, for my next life can I please come back as some form of marine life? Such a great day. The water makes me feel so free.”

This month, the former Disney star is featured on the cover of Prestige magazine. She told the publication, “The press seems to think that I’m trying to make this big turn and become a bad girl, and really I’m trying to be more connected with the Earth.”

The actress is currently dating Liam Hemsworth, whom she co-starred with in “The Last Song” with in 2010.
